Nikolas Bonaros is deputy chair of Cardiac Surgery at Innsbruck University Hospital and an Associate Professor of Cardiac Surgery at the Medical University of Innsbruck and an active board member of the WG CV Surgery of the ESC. His main interests are totally endoscopic and minimally invasive valve and coronary procedures including 3D visualization and robotics. He is director of minimally invasive valve surgery and transcatheter interventions and Co-Director of HEart transplantation. He has participated in several multicenter trials on coronary surgery, hybrid coronary revascularization and sutureless and transcatheter valve interventions. His experimental interests focus on stem cell therapy and myocardial regeneration as well as on imaging techniques to facilitate minimally invasive procedures. His non medical scientific interests are closely related to Health Economics and Policy as part of the MSc Programm of the London School of Economics and ESC.
