The site also focuses on the psychological impact of SCAD and strategies for secondary prevention, particularly for women, who make up 90% of SCAD patients In 2024, she became president and founder of association SCADinfo with a medical and scientific committee with SCAD specialists. In 2024, Mariette became a member of the ESC patient forum. In 2025 she became part of the EAPCI patient advocacy forum. Mariette enjoys hiking and cross-country skiing in the mountains, as well as playing music. She is fluent in Dutch, French, and English, and has intermediate proficiency in Spanish and German.
