Dr. Joseph (Youssef) F. Maalouf is a Professor of Medicine, Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science, and a Consultant in the Department of Cardiovascular Medicine, at Mayo Clinic. He is also a founding member and member of the Board of Governors of the International Society of Cardiac Ultrasound, and a member of the Editorial Board of the journal, Echocardiography. He served as a member of the Guidelines and Standards Committee of the American Society of Echocardiography (ASE) and as member of the ASE 3D Image Standardization Board. His bibliography includes over one hundred and fifty peer-reviewed manuscripts, over a hundred abstracts, fifteen book chapters, and a book on 3D echocardiography. His honors include multiple visiting professorships and numerous invited lectures, both nationally and internationally. He is the immediate past Director of the Interventional Echocardiography Imaging Service at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota
