Biography
Zacharias Papadakis, Ph.D., FACSM, is Full Professor of Exercise Physiology and Wellness at Barry University in Miami Shores, Florida. He previously directed the university's Human Performance Laboratory and its Exercise Physiology programs. He holds ACSM-EP certification and is an ACSM/American Cancer Society Certified Cancer Exercise Specialist, and earned his Ph.D. in Kinesiology from Baylor University, his M.S. from Sheffield Hallam University (England), and his B.S. from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (Greece). His research applies a Lifestyle Medicine and Network Physiology of Exercise framework to Cardiovascular-Kidney-Metabolic (CKM) syndrome, examining how exercise remodels cardiorespiratory, muscular, and vascular interactions to improve cardiometabolic health. He is Associate Editor for BMC Sports Science, Medicine and Rehabilitation and the International Journal of Sports Science & Coaching, and an elected Fellow of the American College of Sports Medicine (FACSM).
