Sutter Health, Sacramento (United States of America)
Kim Newlin is a Clinical Performance Improvement Consultant with the Sutter Health Heart and Vascular Service Line and has worked for Sutter Health since 2003. She has a BS in Exercise Physiology and is a Cardiovascular CNS and Adult Nurse Practitioner. As a Director of Nursing, Kim saw patients and supervised operations at the hospital’s transitional care Heart Health Clinic from 2011-2022. She worked with a multidisciplinary team and post-acute care organizations to improve the patient experience during their stay in the hospital and the transition home, increasing access to patients from a large geographical area, while reducing readmissions. During her time in a leadership position in cardiac and pulmonary rehab, both programs doubled in size and expanded services. Kim is a past-president and current board member of the Preventive Cardiovascular Nurse Association’s Board of Directors. She enjoys spending time with family and friends skiing, hiking, biking and playing tennis!
