Doctor Htet Htet Ei Khin

Originally from Myanmar, Dr. Khin has pursued a global journey in medicine, gaining experience across Myanmar, Singapore, England, and ultimately Scotland. A renal specialty trainee in Edinburgh since 2019, she is driven by a deep passion for cardio-renal interaction and embraced the challenge of interdisciplinary research in Glasgow with cardiology team in 2023. Focusing on cardio-renal interactions and venous congestion, Dr. Khin has developed expertise in echocardiography and congestion ultrasound from the ground up. She has led and contributed to a study on the early detection of congestion using ultrasound and biomarkers. Committed to advancing patient care, Dr. Khin aspires to further interdisciplinary research and the advanced phenotyping of congestion, pushing the boundaries of how kidney and heart health are understood and managed.
