Mrs Sarah Jungnickel

was born in 1984 with a congenital heart defect, transposition of the great arteries. One year later, I underwent corrective surgery in Munich (arterial switch operation after Senning/Brom). I am a tax advisor and work part-time in a large corporation. In 2018, my wonderful daughter was born. She was naturally born, six weeks premature, and is my greatest joy. She is amazing. Following the birth, I developed postpartum cardiomyopathy with pulmonary embolisms. I am now stable again, and my little girl is in school. My hobbies are animals and traveling. I also like to advocate for better conditions and greater understanding for people with congenital heart defects, as I have experienced mental health challenges and anxiety since childhood due to my condition and during difficult phases of my life.
