Biography
Carl Simela is an Internal Medicine resident doctor (IMT Year 1: 2025 - 2026) in the United Kingdom with an interest in cardiovascular research. Carl has worked as part of groups in London (2023) and Leeds (2023) on projects focussed on cancer treatment-related cardiovascular toxicity, cardiovascular disease epidemiology, cardiovascular magnetic resonance, aortic stenosis and thoracic aortic aneurysms. Carl completed his MBBS at King’s College London (2017 - 2023) and completed a Cardiovascular Science MSc (Dist) at University College London (2020 - 2021). He has a Postgraduate Certificate in Health Research (2024) from the University of Leeds. Carl is a founding Co-President of the British Student Cardio-Oncology Society (2023).
