Biography
Koray Durak is a clinician scientist at the University Hospital Basel, where he focuses on perioperative myocardial infarction and injury, cardiovascular biomarkers, and innovative technologies to advance patient care. He gained clinical and research experience across Switzerland, Germany, the Netherlands, and Estonia. Outside medicine, he enjoys mountain hiking, playing football, and reading classic Middle Eastern literature. He is also multilingual and speaks German, Turkish, Dutch, English, and Arabic.
