Professor Francesco Mattace-Raso

Francesco Mattace-Raso is Professor of Geriatrics at the Erasmus MC University Medical Center of Rotterdam, The Netherlands, He chairs the division of Geriatric Medicine and is Principal Investigator of the Vascular Aging Science Center Erasmus MC. Main research interest is to investigate the causes and consequences of age- related cardiovascular changes. On this field of research he has an international leading role, is author of milestone studies and coauthors of guidelines and expert papers. Francesco Mattace-Raso has been recipient of 6 large EU projects, is Principal and/or Co-Investigator of clinical trials or scientific networks. Up to now Francesco has supervised 15 PhD candidates and more than 50 master thesis, has written several book chapters, guidelines and is author of >300 peer reviewed publications (h 62). Francesco is lead singer and guitarist of the band Sticky Fingers.
