Doctor John Dodson

Dr. Dodson is an Associate Professor of Medicine (Cardiology) and Population Health at NYU Grossman School of Medicine. He serves as Director of the Geriatric Cardiology Program and the Cardiovascular Digital Health Laboratory at NYU. His research focuses on the intersection of aging, cardiovascular prevention, and digital health interventions. He has led several ongoing or recently completed clinical trials including RESILIENT (mobile health cardiac rehabilitation in older adults), BETTER-BP (digital behavioral economics intervention for hypertension), and LEARN-DSD (AI-powered dementia screening using the electronic health record). He serves as an Associate Editor of the Journal of the American College of Cardiology and is a member of the American Heart Association’s Cardiovascular Disease in Older Populations Science Committee. In addition to research, Dr. Dodson maintains an active clinical practice in New York City focused on geriatric cardiology.
