Biography
Dean J. Kereiakes is Chairman of The Christ Hospital Heart and Vascular Institute, Professor of Medicine, University of Cincinnati and Clinical Professor of Medicine, The Ohio State University.
Dr. Kereiakes received his M.D. degree (valedictorian) from the University of Cincinnati. Postgraduate training included the University of California, San Francisco and Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston.
He has published over 1,300 peer-reviewed medical journal articles, abstracts and book chapters. He is past Section Editor, Circulation and current Deputy Editor, JSCAI. He has been National/International Principal Investigator on 30 pivotal trials for U.S. FDA device or drug approval. and has performed over 30,000 catheterization procedures. He founded The Carl & Edyth Lindner Center for Research and Education at The Christ Hospital.
He was recognized with the MSCAI distinction & received the “Helping Hearts” lifetime achievement award from SCAI.
