He is a pharmacist-biochemist with a postdoctoral degree at the Georgia-Atlanta-USA Institute of Technology. He is currently a researcher at the cardiovascular biology laboratory at the state university of Campinas-Brazil. He has worked in the area of epigenetics in cardiovascular diseases, mainly in hypertension and heart failure. His hobby is football.
