Professor Philip Greenland is the Harry W. Dingman Professor of Cardiology and Professor of Preventive Medicine at Northwestern University in Chicago and a Senior Editor for JAMA. He has held leadership positions as Department Chair of Preventive Medicine at Northwestern, Executive Associate Dean for Clinical and Translational Research, and Director of Northwestern’s Clinical and Translational Science Institute. Dr. Greenland’s research has been primarily concerned with heart disease risk factors over the lifespan, cardiac imaging for risk prediction, and prevention of cardiovascular disease. He has been recognized multiple times as a Thomson Reuters Highly Cited Researcher in clinical medicine. In addition to FESC, he is an elected Fellow of the American Heart Association, American College of Cardiology, Association of American Physicians, and an honorary FRCP (London).
