Biography
M. Melih Dogan, MD is a Postdoctoral Research Scholar at the East Carolina University Heart Institute, Department of Cardiovascular Sciences, in Greenville, North Carolina. He earned his medical degree from Inonu University School of Medicine in Turkey, graduating as the most academically accomplished student across all faculties. His research interests include aortic disease, atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease, quality of life research, and meta-analysis, with a long-term career goal of pursuing cardiac surgery. He has authored multiple peer-reviewed publications and first-author abstracts at the AHA Scientific Sessions and the ESC Congress, and received the Paul Dudley White International Scholar Award from the AHA in 2024. He speaks Turkish and English, and enjoys travel, hiking, and swimming.
