Doctor Syharn Lian

Dr. Sy-Harn Lian is a cardiologist and geriatric medicine specialist based in Tainan, Taiwan. She graduated from Tzu Chi University School of Medicine and completed her internal medicine residency, cardiology fellowship and chief residency in geriatric medicine at National Cheng Kung University Hospital (NCKUH), where she also served as a clinical teacher in the Department of Internal Medicine. She is board-certified in cardiology (Taiwan Society of Cardiology), internal medicine and osteoporosis care (Taiwanese Osteoporosis Association). Her main interests are echocardiography, preventive cardiology, cardiovascular health in women and older adults, and the links between osteoporosis, sarcopenia and heart disease. Dr. Lian practices at cardiology clinics in Tainan and Kaohsiung and at the NCKUH Health Management Center. She is also a dedicated health educator, known for explaining heart disease to the public in plain language. She speaks Mandarin, Taiwanese and English.
