Biography
Yifan Wang, M.D., is a researcher at the Center for Molecular Cardiology, University of Zurich. Her research focuses on risk prediction after acute coronary syndromes through novel biomarkers and clinical prediction models. As first author, she led the development of the SEX-SHOCK score for cardiogenic shock prediction and the SMART-ACS model for residual cardiovascular risk assessment. Her work also identified and validated adrenomedullin as a biomarker for cardiogenic shock in acute coronary syndromes. These studies have been published in the European Heart Journal and presented at the ESC Congress, EAPCI Congress, and ESCI Annual Scientific Meeting. She has received several awards, including the Best Abstract Award of the Swiss Society of Cardiology and selection as a finalist of the ESC Young Investigator Award Session.
