Dr. Kevin An is a PGY-6 resident in cardiac surgery at the University of Toronto. Dr. An completed his undergraduate studies at University of St Andrews in 2015, obtaining his BSc (Hons) in medicine, graduating with first class honours. He went on to McMaster University for medical school, obtaining his MD in 2018. Following graduation, he entered the residency program in cardiac surgery at the University of Toronto that same year. During residency, he completed a research fellowship at Weill Cornell Medicine, under Dr. Gaudino, as well as a MPH in Clinical Effectiveness at Harvard University. Dr. An focuses his research on clinical outcomes research in coronary revascularization and heart failure/MCS/transplant. Outside of work, Dr. An enjoys travelling, having visited over 20 countries. He also enjoys hiking, mountaineering, tennis, skiing, and keeping up with current affairs.
