My name is Pedro Salinas, and I am certified in internal medicine, critical care medicine & neurocritical care. I am the director of the cardiac intensive care unit at Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and I also serve as the POCUS director for the critical care fellowship & internal medicine residency. During the COVID19 pandemic, I collaborated with my echo lab on critical care echocardiography research and TEE collaborative registry. I am also Co-chair of the Pulmonary Embolism Response Team at my hospital, and I have a special research interest in RV echocardiographic parameters for risk stratification in PE. Additionally, I hold advanced certification in critical care echocardiography from the National Board of Echocardiography and fellow of the Critical Care College of Medicine. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my kids, tending to my vegetable garden, riding my bike, or cooking Mexican food.
