She is a retired Psychologist and Manager HR. Until 2016 she worked for a.o. Q8, Volvo. Her focus was ensuring employees could do their job for as long as possible in a sustainable way. Her heart inspired her to become a volunteer after being forced to retire. Since 2016 she is part of the Patient Advisory Board for Cardiologists at Radboud UMC (Nijmegen). A Patient Representative for Harteraad (Patient Organization for CVD). She participates f.i. in project teams of long lasting CVRM trials. Since 2019 she has been on a regular basis a speaker at the CVCT Forum in Washington DC.

To grow as a patient representative she successfully finished the training of EUPATI (a Patient Expert Training Program) in 2022.
Likes to travel, read a book, go out with an ebike.
