Doctor Claudio Bilato

He received his medical degree, magna cum laude, in 1986 and the board certification in Cardiology in 1990 at the University of Padova School of Medicine, Italy. In 1997 he got Ph.D. in Experimental and Clinical Gerontology. He spent several years in the U.S. working at the MDB, National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute, NIH, Bethesda, MD and at the Vascular Biology Unit, Laboratory of Cardiovascular Science, NIA, NIH, Baltimore, MD (1992-97). Back in Italy, he was attending physician at Rovigo General Hospital Division of Cardiology (1997-2003) and subsequently at the Padova University Hospital (2003-14) as the Head of the Cardiology Ward, Division of Cardiology, Department of Cardiac, Thoracic and Vascular Sciences. Currently, dr. Bilato is the Director of the Division of Cardiology at the West Vicenza General Hospitals. He also holds adjunct appointments as Professor of Cardiology at the University of Padova Postgraduate School of Cardiology.
