Biography
Anja Hennemuth studied computer science with a minor in medicine. During her scientific training, she has worked in research institutions such as the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology and the Philips Research Laboratories in the field of flow simulation and image-based modeling. From 2003 to 2008, she worked at MeVis Research as a research assistant in image-based liver surgery planning and cardiovascular image analysis. Since 2009, she has headed cardiovascular research and development at the Fraunhofer Institute for Digital Medicine and has also been part of the extended institute management since 2016. Her group has developed software solutions for cardiovascular image analysis and image-based modeling for clinical research, diagnostics and therapy support. She holds a bridge professorship at the Institute for Cardiovascular Computer-Assisted Medicine at Charité and the Technical University of Berlin. She is a fellow of the Berlin Institute for the Foundations of Learning and Data.
