Marcus Anthony Urey, MD is an associate professor at the University of California San Diego Health. Hs is the current medical director of the heart transplant program and the cardiac amyloidosis program. Dr. Urey completed his medical school at the David Geffen School of Medicine at the University of California Los Angeles. He then completed a residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in cardiology and advanced heart failure at the University of Texas Southwestern. He joined the advanced heart failure section at the University of California San Diego Health in 2017. His area of focus is heart transplant, amyloidosis, congenital heart disease, and devices in the management of heart failure. He is heavily involved in clinical trials. He loves to travel and is fluent in Spanish.
