Biography
Paolo Seghetti received his bachelor's degree and MSc degree in biomedical engineering from the University of Pisa in 2018 and 2021, respectively. His MSc thesis focused on modeling the effect of pathological sodium channel reduction on synchronization properties of neuronal networks.
His PhD began in October 2021 at the Health Science Interdisciplinary Center, Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies. During his PhD, Paolo worked with computational models of cardiac electrophysiology to simulate the onset of arrhythmia in Brugada syndrome, dedicating particular attention to possible pathological markers for risk stratification and translation of technology into clinical practice. His expertise focuses on computational simulations of cardiac electrophysiology and elaboration of data from electroanatomical mapping procedures. He likes to maintain an interdisciplinary approach encompassing engineering and physiology to foster collaboration with health professionals.
