Biography
Dr Jie Yu is a cardiologist and clinician-researcher with clinical and academic experience across China and Australia. She previously worked as a consultant cardiologist and Associate Professor at Peking University Third Hospital, Beijing, and undertook cardiovascular research and clinical training at The George Institute for Global Health, Royal North Shore Hospital and John Hunter Hospital. She is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, a Conjoint Senior Lecturer at the University of Newcastle, and practises in New South Wales. Her research spans basic science, clinical trials and health-services research. She has authored more than 70 peer-reviewed publications, including first-author papers in JAMA, Cardiovascular Research, ESC Heart Failure and Hypertension. Her main interests are coronary artery disease, heart failure, cardio-oncology and cardiovascular prevention, with a focus on translating evidence into clinical practice.
