Pouria Shoureshi is an internal medicine board certified cardiology fellow at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU). Dr. Shoureshi journey in the medical field commenced at Isfahan University of Medical Sciences in Isfahan, Iran, where he completed his medical school education with diligence. Following this, he pursued postdoctoral research at Johns Hopkins (Bayview Hospital), prior to embarking on his residency journey. He successfully completed his Internal Medicine Residency at HCA Orange Park Florida Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida, where his commitment to academia was evident through his role as Academic Chief. In his current role at VCU, Dr. Shoureshi has focused on electrophysiology, and over the past two years, he has quietly contributed to the literature with his publications. Despite these accomplishments Dr. Shoureshi academic pursuits extend beyond publications, as he has actively participated in scholarly activities, presenting abstracts at prominent conferences.
