Birce Elif Yencilek,MD,is a cardiology resident at Etlik City Hospital with an academic focus on interventional cardiology.She is actively involved in complex coronary and structural interventions,contributing to patient selection,procedural planning,intraprocedural decision-making,and complication management.She also gains experience in advanced electrophysiological and device-based therapies under senior supervision.She is pursuing a thesis on chronic total occlusion interventions and is involved in international and single-centre research projects.She has presented her work at major international congresses.At EuroPCR 2025,she delivered an oral presentation on paravalvular leak closure,and at EAPCI Summit 2026,she presented in the “Expect the Unexpected” session.In addition,her abstract submitted to Heart Failure Congress 2026 has been accepted for oral presentation.She speaks Turkish,English and Swedish. She enjoys swimming, travelling and spending time with her dog Uma.
