Dr. Lalika is a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Cardiovascular Medicine at Mayo Clinic. His American Heart Association-funded research focuses on innovative behavioral digital health interventions aimed at improving cardiovascular health and preventing cardiovascular disease, particularly in underserved populations. Prior to joining Mayo Clinic, he conducted research to support the work of global health organizations such as the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and the World Health Organization. Dr. Lalika holds an MD from the Escuela Latinoamericana de Medicina in Havana and an MPH in Global Health from the University of Washington. He is fluent in Swahili, English, and Spanish.
