Anna has been a qualified Genetic Counsellor (GC) since 2011 and UK Registered since 2015. She enjoyed over 8 years in the Inherited Cardiac Conditions (ICCs) service in Oxford, working with the multidisciplinary team to develop and grow the clinic to become an exemplar of best practice for UK ICC services. This has been recognised by the BHF and NHS Specialist Commissioning. In early 2020, Anna joined Prenetics EMEA Ltd as a Consultant Genetic Counsellor, delivering complimentary support to clients who purchased a direct to consumer genetic testing product. During the Covid pandemic, Anna went on to hold roles as Lab Director and Head of Clinical Governance. In 2022 Anna became a board member for the Genetic Counsellor Registration Board (now Genetic Counsellor Accreditation Board) which has been working on statutory regulation for GCs through equivalence to join the HCPC register, and with the Association of Genetic Nurses and Counsellors on the future aims of the profession.
