Biography
Dr.-Ing. Martin Schmidt has received his PhD in biomedical engineering in 2020. His research interests include cardiovascular biosignal processing, the application of interpretable and explainable artificial intelligence in biosignal analysis and network physiological approaches. Since 2019, he is the head of the Biosignal Processing Group at the Institute of Biomedical Engineering at TU Dresden, Germany. He is author/co-author of over 25 peer-reviewed journal articles and a member of the German Society of Biomedical Engineering (DGBMT), the IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society (EMBS), the German Cardiac Society (DGK), and the European Society of Cardiology (ESC).
