Biography
Aiman Smer, MD is an academic cardiologist from Libya with specialization in echocardiography and nuclear cardiology, and unique experience across the USA and MENA region. He currently serves as Program Director for the Cardiology Fellowship at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi (CCAD), where he leads efforts in clinical training, quality improvement (QI), and curriculum development.
Dr. Smer has a strong interest in cardiovascular imaging, medical education, and fostering regional collaboration. He is an active member of working groups and committees within the American College of Cardiology, the American Society of Echocardiography, and the Libyan Cardiac Society, contributing to initiatives that advance cardiovascular care and education.
Committed to academic excellence, Dr. Smer continues to promote innovation and high standards in imaging-based care and cardiology training throughout the Middle East and North Africa.
