Prerna Gupta, MD is a technology-forward clinician researcher with experience in data analytics and healthcare devices that sees a medical system chock full of opportunities to advance care. She is particularly interested in assessing the impact of and optimizing patient engagement in health technology interventions, furthering these skills as a current research fellow at the University of Colorado. She started her career at the University of California, Los Angeles where she completed her undergraduate and medical degrees. She stayed on to complete her internship and residency in Internal Medicine, where she investigated circadian rhythms in critically ill patients, identifying deep abnormalities in circadian rhythms and rest-activity misalignment. She went on to present and publish this research at acclaimed conferences. She is now investigating cardiovascular outcomes related to digital health interventions, hoping to explore the patient-technology interface.
