His expertise spans immunology, vascular biology, and bioinformatics, with a particular focus on immune cell dynamics in cardiovascular diseases. Since beginning his research career, he has concentrated on elucidating the roles of CD4⁺ T cells and regulatory T cells (Tregs) in the development and progression of atherosclerosis.
