Biography
Dr Lav began medical school at Lund University in 2016. During his studies, he worked as a teaching assistant in histology, anatomy, and autopsy, and later served as President of the National Board of Swedish Medical Student Association. His interest in translational cardiac research developed through work at the Department of Clinical Physiology, leading him to start as a PhD student in the Lund Cardiac MR Group in 2022. He did a pre-doc at Rigshospitalet in Denmark between 2022 and 2023, investigating the prognostic value of non-invasive pressure-volume loop variables by CMR. After graduating from Lund University in 2024, he has worked as a junior doctor at Department of Clinical Physiology in Lund before starting his clinical internship in 2025.
