Patrick Heindel, MD, MPH, is a general surgery resident at Brigham and Women’s Hospital who is pursuing a career in vascular surgery. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Maryland, College Park, a Doctor of Medicine degree from the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California, and a Master of Public Heath from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. He is completing two years of professional development as a National Institutes of Health T32 research fellow in the Harvard–Longwood Research Training in Vascular Surgery Program. His research interests include machine learning, causal inference, clinical risk prediction tools, and comparative effectiveness research.
