Biography
Dr Dang is an Advanced Trainee in Cardiolgy at Waikato Hospital, New Zealand. He is also a PhD candidate at the University of Sydney, Australia. He performs research into spontaneous coronary artery dissection, an increasingly recognised cause of acute myocardial infarction particularly in young people without traditional cardiovascular risk factors, under the supervision of Associate Professor Sarah Zaman. Dr Dang obtained his MD degree in 2010 and completed Basic Physician Training in 2022 at St George Hospital in Sydney, Australia. He had two years of training in interventional cardiology at Gia Dinh People's Hospital, Vietnam. Dr Dang is also an enthusiastic martial artist with a nidan (2nd degree) black belt in Shotokan Karatedo and has competed in regional Karatedo championships.
