Mr Jean-Francois Riffaud

Jean-François Riffaud is a seasoned international chief executive with over 25 years of experience leading and transforming major global organizations in healthcare, humanitarian action and international development. As CEO of the European Society of Cardiology, he drives the strategy, global influence, partnerships and advocacy of one of the world’s largest medical societies. Previously, as CEO of Action Against Hunger, he led major international growth and strengthened its global impact across 50+ countries. He has also held senior positions at UNESCO, the French Red Cross and the French National Blood Service. A strategic, values-driven and results-oriented leader, he combines expertise in organizational change, development, public affairs, advocacy, crisis management and multicultural leadership with a strong commitment to public good and lasting social impact. He holds an M2 in International Law, doctoral studies to ABD level at Paris V, and an M1 in International Relations.
