Biography
Dr. Saleena Gul Arif is a Pakistani medical graduate from King Edward Medical University. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Michigan State University and her Geriatric Medicine fellowship at The Ohio State University in the United States. As an immigrant, Dr. Arif is committed to serving diverse communities and spent four years at a Boston community health center, establishing a Memory Clinic and a Frailty Clinic. In her work, she noticed a high prevalence of cardiovascular diseases among the elderly, which sparked her interest in Geriatric Cardiology. Currently, Dr. Arif is pursuing a Geriatric Cardiology fellowship and a Master's in Experimental Medicine at McGill University in Montreal, Canada. She is particularly interested in valvular heart disease, imaging biomarkers of frailty, and screening using cutting-edge AI models. In addition to her medical career, Dr. Arif is a devoted mother of two and is exploring her artistic side through acrylic painting and pastels
