Professor Luca Saba

Luca Saba is Chair of the Department of Medical Sciences and Public Health, Full Professor of Radiology, and Past Dean of the School of Medicine at the University of Cagliari. His research focuses on atherosclerosis and plaque imaging, and he has authored over 700 peer‑reviewed articles in high‑impact journals such as the New England Journal of Medicine, European Heart Journal, Lancet Neurology, Circulation and Stroke. Dr. Saba has received 21 scientific awards and delivered more than 200 invited lectures at international congresses. He has contributed 53 book chapters and served as editor for 19 books covering topics in computed tomography, cardiovascular imaging and atherosclerosis imaging. He currently serves as Editor‑in‑Chief of Neuroradiology.
