Anita is a senior cardiac nurse who has worked in the Flinders Medical Centre Cardiac Care Unit for over 30 years. Other than leadership and clinical roles over the years, she has held past integral roles in National and State projects. Most recently activating the State-wide Electronic Medical Record. She is a board member of the Australasian College of Cardiovascular Nursing, Deputy Chair of the State-wide Cardiac Nursing subcommittee at the Commission on Excellence and Innovation in Health, South Australia. Also a member of the Australian Cardiovascular Health and Rehabilitation Association, the European Cardiology Society, belonging to ACNAP and an affiliate of the Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand. Anita has been awarded her clinical PHD. Her research is about creating a culture that builds and maintains excellence in delivering quality patient care. Particularly how nurse advocacy impacts effective ward round decisions so that patients receive their care sooner.
