One of the two founders of the European Association for Preventive cardiology (EAPC), Chairman of the Joint European Societies’ Taskforce on Cardiovascular Prevention in Clinical Practice which has published the 2012 European Guidelines on CVD Prevention. Vice-Chairman of the Prevention Implementation Committee of the EACPR. Editor of the Eur. J of Preventive Cardiology, member of the ESC media committee, the ESC advocacy committee and ESC spokesperson for preventive cardiology.
Among other activities: engaged in a number of international projects, national assignments for FORTE, SBU, the Swedish Drug Agency, Socialstyrelsen, coordinator for a new Swedish model for cardiac rehabilitation,
