Biography
Andrej Novak, PhD (Applied Mathematics), MD, is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Science, University of Zagreb and a Research Associate at the Faculty of Mathematics, University of Vienna. He also collaborates clinically with the Department of Cardiovascular Medicine, University Hospital Dubrava. His research integrates PDE-based modeling, optimization, and interpretable machine learning with applications in cardiovascular imaging and electrophysiology, including ECG/EGM analysis, heart-failure therapeutics, and decision support. He leads and contributes to mathematical and interdisciplinary projects (e.g., HRZZ, OEAD) and serves on the Management Committee of several EU projects.
