Biography
Zian H. Tseng, M.D., M.S. is a cardiologist and electrophysiologist. He is an expert in determining the risk of patients prone to sudden cardiac death (SCD) and ventricular arrhythmias, including genetic and molecular mechanisms. He has special expertise in arrhythmia management for patients with congenital heart disease. Dr. Tseng is the founder and PI for the POstmortem Systematic InvesTigation of Sudden Cardiac Death (POST SCD) study, a collaboration with the San Francisco Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, continuously funded by the National Institutes of Health since 2010. The study's goal is to more accurately define SCD and determine its underlying causes, risk factors and genetics. He is also the PI of the San Francisco Sudden Death in the Young Registry funded by the CDC.
