Dr. Magdi S Yacoub is a dedicated Clinical Cardiology researcher and PhD candidate. He graduated at at Cairo University and pursued a PhD in Heart Failure at the renowned CORRIB CORE LAB at the University of Galway, Galway, Ireland. Dr. Yacoub's research focuses on Heart Failure with Preserved Ejection Fraction (HFpEF) and its potential pharmacological interventions, including the use of SGLT2 inhibitors. He is also working on identifying novel therapeutic targets that require a deeper understanding of HFpEF mechanisms. Dr. Yacoub is fully immersed in cutting-edge research as a PhD candidate. His contributions have not gone unnoticed, as he received the ESC Travel grant for his two Heart failure relevant research publications and will His ongoing projects explore the interplay between genetics, lifestyle, and environmental factors in shaping individual risk profiles to transform the landscape of HFpEF care.
