Biography
Dr. Lin received his MD from National Defense Medical Center in 2003, his MPH degree from Tzu Chi University in 2012 and his PhD degree in Electrical Engineering from National Dong Hwa University in 2018, in Taiwan. He joined Hualien Armed Forces General Hospital in Taiwan in 2009 and has become the Chief of the Department of Internal Medicine since 2018. His research interests include cardiovascular epidemiology, signal analysis and artificial intelligence. He has published 142 international journal papers until now, including 15 full articles and meta-analyses for the reverse epidemiology of metabolic factors for mortality in cardiovascular disease before 2013. Since 2013, he has collaborated with Northwestern University in U.S., and become an investigator of the Multi-Ethnic Atherosclerosis Study (MESA) for the relationship between sleep apnea, retinal microvascular signs and incident atrial fibrillation.
