Mrs Judith Van Beek-Peeters

Amphia Hospital, Breda (Netherlands (The))

I am working as a nurse practitioner in the heartcentre of the Amphia Hospital in the south of the Netherlands (in patient and outpatient clinic). My motivation is to provide high-quality cardiosurgical and cardiology care and treatment. I guide and treat patients before and after cardiac surgery or TAVI (aortic valve replacement) with commitment and enthusiasm. I believe it is important that patients are well informed and are involved in choices regarding care and treatment. My ambition is to contribute to developments regarding "shared decision-making" within the heart centre. In 2018, I started my PhD project on "aspects of decision-making in severe aortic valve stenosis" with specific attention for older patients. 2018 Start PhD: aspects of decision making in severe aortic valve stenosis 2011-2013 Master Advanced Nursing Practice 2001 2002 Dialysis nurse 1995 1999 Bachelor in Nursing languages: Dutch, English.
