Always involved in teaching and research activities, in addition to practicing in private practice: At Catholic Postgraduate Medical School, obtained the degree of Master of Sciences in Cardiology and was later admitted as professor of Internal Medicine at Rio de Janeiro State University. After achieving PhD degree, he became the coordinator of the discipline of Clinical and Experimental Pathophysiology at the same institution . Between 1999 and 2007 he developed and ran the disease management unit of the largest HMO in Brazil, dedicated to complex cardiac diseases and diabetes. Thanks to the work of the team under his leadership, tha department obtained the international accreditation certificate issued by the Joint Commission. Prof. Kaiser occupied several positions at the Brazilian and Rio de Janeiro Society of Cardiology. Principal Investigator in Rio de Janeiro of international randomized cardiovascular outcomes clinical trials, such as ENGAGE, ODISSEY-OUTCOMES, among others.
