Biography
Dr Balamrit Singh Sokhal is a specialised foundation programme (research) doctor working at the University Hospitals North Midlands and with the Keele Cardiovascular Resaerch Group. He completed his MBChB at Keele University and completed an intercalated MPhil in Cardiology, supervised by Dr Andrija Matetić, Professor Christian Mallen and Professor Mamas Mamas and funded by the prestigious Royal College of Physicians and Wolfson Intercalated Award. Balamrit uses electronic health record data for prognostic factor research in patients with cardiovascular disease, and has published several research articles and presented internationally. Broadly, Balamrit has interests in cardiovascular epidemiology and outcomes research, clinical education and health technology. Balamrit is engaged in a variety of further initiatives such as teaching medical students and encouraging collaboration among researchers and students. Balamrit also holds committee roles from local to national level.
