Miss Andreea Rechitean

With a background in biochemistry, molecular plant biology, and ecology Andreea is a Romanian rooted student doing her bachelor's degree at HAN University of Applied Sciences, Netherlands. At the moment she is completing her final year as an intern at Instituto de Saúde Ambiental, Portugal. As part of her project, she is looking at the potential implementation of cardiovascular rehabilitation programs in a natural frame, assessing the health benefits arising from human-nature interaction, with a touch of environmental conservation. Simultaneously, Andreea is investigating the role of inflammation in salt-sensitive hypertension integrating molecular biology techniques. Although, not being in line with her current research, Andreea wishes to pursue her path in the field of behavioral neurobiology, embracing environmental topics. Besides academic work, Andreea's free time is filled up with analog photography, reading, and nature-related activities such as hiking.
