Doctor Luigi Alberto Iossa

Luigi Alberto Iossa is an interventional cardiologist based in Como, Italy. He began his specialty training in cardiology in 2021 and started working in interventional cardiology in 2022, developing a strong and early interest in clinical research, with a particular focus on coronary physiology, percutaneous coronary intervention, and structural heart interventions, including transcatheter aortic valve implantation. His academic work explores non-hyperemic physiological indices, prosthesis–patient mismatch after TAVI, drug-coated balloon strategies, and real-world outcomes in contemporary interventional cardiology. He is fluent in Italian and English and is currently learning German. Outside the hospital, he enjoys early-morning running, travelling, and spending time by the sea.
